World Team Trophy is a biannual event hosted by the Japan Skating Federation and sanctioned by the ISU. The top 6 federations of the season are invited to send teams of skaters consisting of two men, two ladies, one pair and one dance team to compete in a team-based format. The countries that will be competing at this years competition are Russia, the USA, Japan, France, Italy and Canada. This year the competition will take place in Fukuoka, and it will be the last major ISU event of the 2018-19 season.

The ISU will be streaming the competition through Eurovision Sports Live. This stream is not available for those in the US, Japan or Russia.
