Announcements

  • There have been further updates to the assignments of the Grand Prix.

    • Gabrielle Daleman (CAN) has withdrawn from NHK Trophy (source)

    • Kailani Craine (AUS) has been assigned to NHK Trophy (source)

    • Alena Leonova (RUS) has been assigned to NHK Trophy (source)

    • Annika Hocke/Ruben Blommaert (GER) have withdrawn from NHK Trophy (source)

    • Laura Barquero/Aritz Maestu (ESP) have been added to NHK Trophy (source)

  • Kevin Reynolds (CAN) has had to abandon his “Ni no Kuni” Free Skate due to an ongoing dispute with the rights holder. He will have a new program for NHK Trophy next week (source).

  • Entries for CS Tallinn Trophy have been released. Notable entries include Maxim Kovtun, Vincent Zhou, Karen Chen, Anastasiia Gubanova, and Loena Hendrickx (source).

  • Daisuke Takahashi (JPN) has won the Western Sectionals competition in Japan - he advances to the All-Japan Figure Skating Championships in December where he has stated his goal is to skate in the final group of 6 (source).

GP Finland (2-4 November)

The third stop in the 2018-19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating was in Helsinki, Finland. To see the standings of the Grand Prix Series, please visit the ISU’s website.

  • Ladies - 1st: Alina Zagitova (RUS), 2nd: Stanislava Konstantinova (RUS), 3rd: Kaori Sakamoto (JPN)

  • Pairs - 1st: Natalia Zabiiako/Alexander Enbert (RUS), 2nd: Nicole Della Monica/Matteo Guarise (ITA), 3rd: Daria Pavliuchenko/Denis Khodykin (RUS)

  • Ice Dance - 1st: Alexandra Stepanova/Ivan Bukin (RUS), 2nd: Charlene Guignard/Marco Fabbri (ITA), 3rd: Lorraine McNamara/Quinn Carpenter (USA)

  • Men - 1st: Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN), 2nd: Michal Brezina (CZE), 3rd: Jun hwan Cha (KOR)

    Yuzuru Hanyu set three new World Records at this event for the Short, Free, and Combined Total.
